For the arrival of 2026, Dino Merlin — one of the region's biggest names — headlined a packed open-air concert that carried thousands into midnight. We covered the whole night in photo and video: the build-up, the crowd, the countdown and the fireworks over the ancient walls. A celebration made to be remembered, captured to match.
Behind the project
Dubrovnik's New Year's Eve on Stradun is one of the most spectacular celebrations on the Adriatic — an open-air concert in the heart of a UNESCO Old City, drawing thousands from across the region and beyond. For the welcome of 2026, the stage belonged to Dino Merlin, a regional legend whose timeless hits made him the perfect artist to lead the city into midnight, framed by the ancient stone of Stradun and a sky full of fireworks.
Our role was to capture it all in photo and video. Across the night we shot the performance, the enormous crowd, the atmosphere and the countdown, working one of the region's most demanding and beautiful settings — a live, open-air event with a single, unrepeatable moment at its center. The result is a photo and video package that holds the scale and emotion of the night: a legend on stage, a historic city at its most alive, and the exact instant a new year began.
